My clinical work spans reconstructive microsurgery, hand surgery, aesthetic surgery and venous disease. In research, I focus on the decisions that shape surgical outcomes: how we monitor free flaps, how we predict who will do well, and how patients and surgeons choose between treatment options together.
During a research fellowship at NYU Langone Health (2022–2024), I worked on face transplantation and vascularized composite allotransplantation (VCA). Back in Taiwan, I combine that background with hands-on software work, from machine-learning models for flap monitoring to large language model tools for shared decision-making and workflow apps used in daily clinical practice.
